Cost-effective and transparent

crane inspections

Timely maintenance and periodic inspection always provide a clear overall picture of the condition of, for example, an overhead crane. Performing maintenance prior to inspection ensures that no issues remain that would require separate service visits. This approach enables proactive risk and cost management while ensuring uninterrupted crane operation.

Our Crane Inspections business line focuses on industrial cranes. A high-quality inspection requires in-depth knowledge of crane structures, operation, and the specific application environment. Skilled inspectors and modern tools ensure transparent and fast reporting immediately upon completion of the work. The outcome of the inspection is a safe crane and a plan to ensure the operational reliability of, for example, an overhead crane. Our mobile reporting tool enables inspection reports to be available on the same day via a customer-specific extranet.

Certified inspectors

All technicians responsible for crane inspections hold a personal inspector qualification, which requires extensive experience with industrial cranes. The official inspection certification is approved by an independent third party. The inspection qualification covers industrial and overhead cranes from various manufacturers, as well as chain hoists (e.g. ABUS, Stahl, KCI, Demag, SWF).

Thorough periodic inspection

In addition to the periodic inspection referred to in Section 34 above, a thorough periodic inspection must be carried out when the equipment approaches the design limits of its service life as defined by the manufacturer, or, if these are not known, no later than ten years after initial commissioning.

When determining the timing of thorough periodic inspections, consideration must be given to the severity of use, any damage detected during periodic inspections, any repairs carried out, as well as possible type-specific defects of the equipment.

During a thorough inspection, such safety-critical assemblies must be dismantled whose operational condition cannot otherwise be reliably verified. Non-destructive testing (NDT) methods must be used in the inspection.

Transparent traceability

In reporting, we utilize the latest methods and tools developed for industrial crane inspections to ensure high-quality and cost-effective operations. Transparent traceability of observations and performed actions is essential for effective risk management and for ensuring the uninterrupted operation of cranes.
