KP Parts, our spare parts service, has now served the precast concrete industry for two years. Our selection includes in-house manufactured feed screws and hollow core sleeves designed specifically for Nordic aggregates, saw blades tailored to customer-specific requirements, and spare parts for hollow-core slab casting machines from other manufacturers, such as Elematic.
Two years ago, we separated spare parts sales into its own business. It has been a natural continuation of our industrial maintenance business, through which we have built our expertise in maintenance for the precast concrete industry over the past 23 years. It has also made our service offering clearer for our customers.
– In our spare parts business, our goal has remained the same: we want to deliver more durable parts to our customers flexibly and quickly. Customer feedback and the growing demand for spare parts show that we are on the right track, says Aki Miettunen, Business Director, KP Parts.
In-house manufactured parts that last
Nordic aggregates are hard and abrasive, which directly affects the service life of hollow-core slab casting machine parts. Test results show that our in-house manufactured parts withstand wear up to 30% better than comparable products on the market.
Improving wear resistance and the factory’s production efficiency have been the foundation of our development work from the very beginning.
– Spare parts for hollow-core slab casting machines wore out quickly, and the need to develop, for example, a more durable screw material arose from observations made by our maintenance team while servicing production equipment, says Mika Ekholm, Business Director, KP Service.
A more durable wear part means fewer replacements, less production downtime and lower material consumption for the customer’s production. In the long run, it also consumes fewer raw materials.
Everything from one place
In addition to our in-house manufactured parts, we supply saw blades for cutting prestressed concrete, tailored to the customer’s machinery, concrete mix design and aggregates. Our range also includes spare parts from other manufacturers, such as Elematic.
– Customers don’t need to source parts from several suppliers. With a single order, they can get our in-house manufactured parts as well as other spare parts for hollow-core slab casting machines, Miettunen emphazises.

Our in-house manufactured parts are backed by more than two decades of experience in servicing and maintaining hollow-core slab casting machines. Our expertise is based on knowing which parts wear and why. We continuously draw on our maintenance know-how to improve wear resistance.
– Our product development doesn’t happen at a desk, but at factories in cooperation with customers and equipment manufacturers. For decades, we have seen how parts wear with Nordic aggregates, and step by step we have developed our solutions based on that, says Ekholm.
